Importance of Yagya From ancient times our great Rishis have been performing great Yagyas to spread peace and brotherhood amongst mankind. Yagyas at a large scale are required to be performed to purify the subtle environment and destroy pollution permeating the atmosphere. It infuses religious favor and enthusiasm in the participants and they also get an opportunity to take a vow to give up one vice by way of Dev-dakshina and adopt one virtue or righteous tendency. In this way big Yagyas help in inculcating ethical values. The meaning of the word Yagya is to do sacrifice, charity and worship. Its practical message is that one ought not to spend his entire earnings on himself and his family but should also distribute a part of it for the welfare of others. It also implies that divinity and noble thought should be respected and people should live together in mutual cooperation and loving kindness. This will contribute towards universal brotherhood among mankind based on mutual love and service. We like to carry on this Vaidic tradition and also give you an opportunity to serve this whole world. Importance of Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra in our daily lives Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is said to rejuvenate, bestow health, wealth, a long life, peace, prosperity and contentment. It is also a protector from accidents, mishaps and daily calamities in the modern busy life. With this mantra we pray to Lord Shiva for his blessings and assistance in opening our third eye of spiritual knowledge. The natural consequence of this awakening is that we will be led towards spiritual liberation or moksha, and attain freedom from the cycles of death and rebirth. The goal of chanting this mantra is to spiritually "ripen" so that Lord Shiva can free us from our bondage to all the material things that bind us!
